Community Tree Planting Day

What: Exciting news!  The Batesford Reserve Sensory Walk is now ready for tree planting and a Community Tree Planting Day When: for 10am-2pm Saturday 13 November 2010.  Where Batesford Reserve Batesford Reserve, Batesford Rd, Chadstone 3148.  So come along and help plant edible and bird-attracting tree species. A BBQ lunch will be provided.  Monash Council and Amaroo Neighbourhood Centre have been working with a reference group of local residents for some time to design the new Batesford Reserve Sensory Walk. The Sensory Walk links Amaroo Neighbourhood Centre on Amaroo St, Chadstone with the new Community Hub in Batesford Reserve. The Walk will be a community space that features artworks by local schools and community groups set amongst edible and bird-attracting tree species. Importantly, the space will be managed by locals under the guidance of Amaroo Neighbourhood Centre, so come along and be part of this fantastic new initiative.
